Perpetual Posts Fingerless Gloves Crochet Pattern

I have a new free crochet glove pattern today for everyone out there who loves ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND COLORFUL like me. The Perpetual Posts fingerless gloves marries those two things in crochet that are hard to combine – color and texture. If you use my recommended yarn (Red Heart Unforgettable) these wrist warmers create a beautiful gradient effect, accentuated by the posts.

Body Part and Organs Crochet Patterns

As a crochet blogger I love admiring the work of others and am often times left in awe at the skill and talent of my fellow hookers. So when I find an amazing designer sometimes I just have to tell you about them!

The Optimistic Cynic is an Etsy shop by New York based designer and artist Sarah Burns who specializes in anatomically correct body part and internal organ crochet patterns and products.

You read that right.

Sarah sells many crochet patterns and even more finished products for that hard-to-buy for person in your life who needs a handmade gallbladder (complete with gall stones!) or reproductive system. (Some are NSFW)

There are over 90 crochet body part listings in her Etsy shop!

Click the links or pictures below to be taken to a few of her individual listings on Etsy or visit her shop The Optimistic Cynic to see everything.

Winter C2C Table Runner Crochet Pattern

This winter c2c table runner will keep the holiday cheer around long after Santa has come and gone. The free crochet pattern features a snowflake or poinsettia design.

Snowflake c2c table runner crochet pattern

Now that Christmas is in the books again we’ve probably all packed away the twinkle and tinsel that goes along with the holiday season. Don’t get me wrong, by the time the holidays wind down I’m ready to say goodbye to my tree and the like but I’m also kinda sad to lose so much joyful decor in one fell swoop. Enter me.

Winter Table Runner Crochet Pattern

I says to myself, self – why do we suffer through all those long, cold, dull winter days without a sparkle in sight? The dismal stretch between St Nick and Summer can be such drain on the spirit. To remedy the winter woes I designed this fun and festive table runner that you don’t have to pack away after all the elves and reindeer go home.

Inspired by leftover yarn from my Buddy the Elf Blanket and the design of my Ugly Sweater Christmas Blanket I whipped up this table runner to spark joy during the rest of winter.

Below you’ll find the chart in full and the written c2c instructions. You can also purchase an ad-free, printable PDF from my shop. The paid pattern includes written instructions, chart, and a 3 part breakdown of the chart.

Materials

  • 5mm H hook (my favorite)
  • Yarn Needle (love these)
  • I Love This Yarn Metallic Peacock
  • Bernat Pipsqueak Whitey White
  • Red Heart Super Saver Gray Heather

Snowflake c2c table runner crochet pattern

Technique and Deets

I used the mini c2c (corner to corner) method to make my table runner and the finished piece, including sc border, measures approximately 10 x 42 inches. If you’d like your table runner shorter or longer you can easily add or take away a repeat of the poinsettia pattern by sketching it out on graph paper.

The Pipsqueak yarn is a bit bulkier so I modified my HDC stitch to use only 2 stitches per square on tiles using this fun fluffy yarn. The rest of my squares use the traditional 3 HDC stitches per tile. The graph is two tone (blue and white) but I chose to do the accents in gray instead of white.

Border

I added a simple sc border working 2 sc on the side of each square with a sc, ch 2, sc in each corner. For more border ideas check out my Crochet Edges and Borders Pinterest Board. Follow Now.
