Friendsgiving CAL – Week 3

It’s week three of our Friends Thanksgiving Crochet Along! I can’t believe this is the next to the last update already. You can find more details about the crochet along and previously released panels here.

There are two new panels this week both from The One With All the Thanksgivings.

Sir Limps A Lot

Who can forget this classic, most awkward flashback? Chandler lost his little piggy but he also said “I love you” for the first time to Monica.

More Bandages!

Hands down, Phoebe had the worst past Thanksgiving. (See what I did there?)

Candy Corn Halloween Graphghan Pattern

I have another Halloween inspired free crochet pattern for you today. This candy corn graphghan is for hookers with a bit of a dark side.

Free Halloween Grapghan Pattern

Candy Corn Halloween Graphghan Free Crochet Pattern

This free graph crochet pattern is what I call a medium or “throw” sized blanket when finished. The graph measures 74 x 92 tiles large.

However, I cannot predict the exact size of your finished blanket. Every hooker’s blanket will vary in size depending on yarn, hook size, stitch choice, and personal tension.

New to Graphs?

If you’re interested in corner to corner (c2c) or mini c2c check out this post for heaps of tutorials. If c2c is not for you, check out this post for a few other options for crocheting a graph.

Thanksgiving Friends CAL – Week 1

It’s week one of our Thanksgiving Friends Crochet Along! Find more details about the crochet along here.

I know I’m a weirdo but I love the Thanksgiving episodes of friends. Other people watch Charlie Brown or the Macy’s parade for Thanksgiving but not me – I watch all the Turkey Day episodes of Friends.

Thanksgiving Friends Crochet Along Week 1

Obviously, food is a very important part of of T-Day and there are some classic dishes that we musn’t leave out of our blanket.

Light Cheese and Dark Cheese

Everyone knows that Chandler is still boycotting all the Pilgrim holidays when the show first starts but he gets the last laugh during the very first Friendsgiving when all the other food burns and he gets to carve the grilled cheese. I don’t even want to know about the dark cheese.

Friendsgiving CAL Week 1

Traditional English Trifle

Who can forget Rachel’s trifle? She worked so hard on it. Isn’t it beautee-full?

First there’s a layer of lady fingers, then a layer of jam, then custard (WHICH she made from scratch), then raspberries, more lady fingers, then beef sauteed with peas and onions, a little bit more custard, and then bananas and some whipped cream on top!

Friendsgiving Crochet Along Week 1 - Rachel's traditional English trifle.

What’s not to like?

Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Goood.

Eyeballs Graphghan Free Crochet Pattern

Okay, I think I’ve waited long enough to whip out some spooky Halloween patterns. I gave fall it’s moment, but move over Autumn because THIS IS HALLOWEEN.

Eyeballs Grapghan Free Graph Pattern

Eyeballs Graphghan. Free Graph Crochet Pattern.

Funnily, the older I get the more I’m about embracing ALL THE HOLIDAYS. I didn’t used to be a big Halloween person but these days I’m about squeezing every last joy out of life that I can. For the first time I ever I went out and bought Halloween decorations. My kids aren’t complaining.

This free graph crochet pattern is what I call a medium or “throw” sized blanket when finished. The graph measures 73 x 91 tiles large.

However, I cannot predict the exact size of your finished blanket. Every hooker’s blanket will vary in size depending on yarn, hook size, stitch choice, and personal tension.

Pumpkin Spice Graphghan Free Crochet Pattern

The heat index may still be over 100 degrees in Georgia but that’s not going to keep me from my pumpkin spice lattes, y’all. I might just have to take it frozen.

Pumpkin Spice Graph Crochet Pattern

Today I have a graph for the particular spicy hookers in the crowd. If you like a seasonal PSL with a side of salty language, you’ve come to the right place. Some of us are unapologetic about our pumpkin spice donuts, poptarts, and everything in between.

Pumpkin Spice Funny and Free Graphghan Crochet Pattern

This free graph is what I call a medium or “throw” sized blanket when finished. The graph measures 75 x 93 tiles large.

However, because I haven’t crocheted the graph myself, I cannot predicted the exact size of your finished blanket. Every hooker’s blanket will vary in size depending on yarn, hook size, stitch choice, and personal tension.

Supernatural CAL – Week 7

It’s week 7 of our Supernatural Crochet along and this is the LAST piece of the blanket!

Find all the details about the CAL on Ravelry here. And find The Road So Far updates of our progress and previously released panels here.

Supernatural Crochet Along Week 7

We saved the best (and biggest for last). OBVIOUSLY, we couldn’t leave out Baby. She’s the real hero.

I thought she was going to be the hardest panel to design but she was kind to my creator brain and flowed pretty naturally into a graph.

Supernatural Crochet Along - The Impala

Isn’t she beautiful? She takes up some serious real estate on our blanket, as she should. I took the picture below before I added the angel blade to our wings from week 5. Next week after I’ve sewn it all together I’ll share an updated photo.

Supernatural Crochet Along Week 7 Progress

Originally I planned on putting the Carry On My Wayward Son at the bottom of the blanket but after laying it out like this, I’m torn. I kind of like how it breaks up the other panels. Hmmmm. Thoughts?

New CAL – Thanksgiving Friends Throw

I can’t decide if I’ve lost my mind and niched down waaaaay too hard but oh wells, here we go!

I love Friends. It was my very first TV love and it’s my favorite show of all time. It still warms the cockles of my cynical millennial heart. Ahh, the 90s. It was a simpler time with baby tees and no cell phones.

If you’re also a fan you know that the Thanksgiving episodes are iconic to the series.

Because my family has moved a lot in the past 18 years, we’ve almost never been “home” for the holidays. So the Thanksgiving episodes have become a part of my holiday tradition. Every year leading up to Turkey Day I rewatch all of the Thanksgiving episodes.

I think I love the fact the Monica and the gang aren’t spending Thanksgiving with their family, either. Side note – friends are the family you choose, amirite?

SO, that being said. Maybe I’ve lost my mind and I’m the only person in the universe that want’s a Friends Thanksgiving themed blanket. But if you’re my kinda crazy and OBVIOUSLY need this seasonal throw in your life proceed.

Thanksgiving Friends Crochet Along

Friends Thanksgiving Crochet Along

The Crochet Along begins Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 and is 4 weeks long.

There are 7 panels in the finished blanket and it will be smaller than my previous CAL blankets. Bonus – it’s cheaper, as well!

Also, I’m doing something a liiiiiiittle different this time by pre-releasing two of the panels so that you can get a head start.

Supernatural CAL – Week 6

It’s week 6 of our Supernatural Crochet along! There’s only ONE more panel left after this week! Eep!

Find all the details about the CAL on Ravelry here. And find The Road So Far updates of our progress and previously released panels here.

Supernatural Crochet Along Week 6

We have TWO new panels and we’re all about honoring our favorite sidekicks this week.

First off, Bobby Singer – our beloved adopted patriarch. Because family don’t end with blood.

There are actually two versions of this week’s panel. The version below with the word “idjits” and a bonus version that says “balls” instead. Because I just couldn’t decide.

Bobby Singer Idjits Hat - Supernatural Crochet along blanket.

And next, our favorite good vs evil yin and yang, Cas and Crowley.

I love them so. They are represented in this panel by their iconic wardrobe.

That’s it for this week! Check back in next week for the last piece of our blanket! Any guesses what it will be?
